Ton Plokkaar, a professional massage therapist
For the past few months, a new professional massage therapist has joined Dr. Murray's practice at Calle Dr. Rosen 12 in Sosúa.
Ton completed a two-year training as sports masseur at the E.N.V.V.S. institute in the Netherlands.
During his study, and thereafter, he also provided massage services to Dutch various sporting clubs and at manual massage institutes.
During a holiday in Sosúa, Dr. Murray asked Ton to assist him in his practice,

by giving massages to clients, and assisting him as chiropractor.
Ton eventually took over Dr. Murray's practice.
Now there are several places in Sosúa where you can get a massage, but Ton only gives therapeutic massages, which means that he treats your neck, back, hips, or other joints.
He also does lymph drainage (treating swollen arms and lower legs) using special massage techniques.
Ton also specialises in treating problems of your spine, lower back pain, and hips.
Lasertherapy
Ton is the only laser therapist along the north coast.
Laser therapy is suitable, for example, for treating tennis elbow, joint pains, wounds and scar tissue, and is also used for people who are overweight, or those who want to quit smoking.
