A convoy of humanitarian aid, supervised by the Civil Defence and military, left Sosúa on Monday afternoon, heading for Haiti. As advised by Héctor Vásquez (Civil Defence), Ina Hapke and Christin Birkhan (Century 21) had purchased shovels, pickaxes and other tools with the money that was donated. Most of the donations were in the form of bottled water, milk powder, canned/cartoned food, Pampers, blankets etc.
On behalf of Sosúa-News we'd like to thank all the donors for their generosity, in ensuring that this large lorry load of goods could be sent to the victims in Haiti.
