Friday January 17 during a press conference the plans were announced for this year's carnival celebrations in Puerto Plata.
The first celebration will be on Saturday January 25th at 8:30 PM, it's the election of King Momo and the Queen of Carnival and it takes place in the Hall of Ocean Marine World.
After this, during each weekend of February carnival activities will take place in Puerto Plata at different locations.
The start will be on Sunday February 2 with a parade at the Malecón (seafront promenade of Puerto Plata).
