In the past weekend, the Catholic population of Charamicos of the parish of St. Anthony of Padua, in preparation for the Passover Feast, walked the Stations of the Cross.
The procession was preceded by some volunteers who carried a large wooden cross.

The priest followed in the company of many believers.
The procession ended on the basketball court Loma Bajita where a holy mass was performed and the believers received a small present.
The Way of the Cross (Via Crucis or Via Dolorosa in Latin) is a component of the tradition of the Christian Passover.
It is an imitation of the passion of Christ from the courthouse (the palace of the Roman procurator Pontius Pilate) to Calvary, his place of execution.
It is generally believed that St. Francis of Assisi, a friend of Anthony of Padua, the patron saint of Sosúa, propagated the walking of the Stations of the Cross in the Catholic world.
