Tuesday, August 5 President Danilo Medina visited Cabarete in the early morning where he officially opened some additional classrooms.
Currently, schools are being built throughout the country.
The aim is to have the teaching hours for the students doubled in the near future.
President Danilo Medina wants to improve education during his reign.
Until now, students get a few hours of teaching per day.
The youngest in the morning, the older ones in the afternoon and the grown up students in the evening.
The President wants the students to follow lessons in the morning and the afternoon.
The students will also receive a free breakfast and a lunch.
This way the pupils living far from the school have the opportunity to stay throughout the day.

The students of various schools in Cabarete can expect a free breakfast and lunch too.
In this solemn and festive occasion in Cabarete, the Education Minister Carlos Amarante Baret and former mayor of Sosúa, Vladimir Céspedes alongside many parents were present.
