Tuesday afternoon, 26 August, a new secondary school officially opened its doors in Sosúa.
Together with the opening, 38 students received their diploma.
Since 2007 the foundation 'Dominican Advance Avance Dominicano' has opened three schools in different hamlets of Sosúa including in Villa Nazareth, where now about 500 students from very poor families receive free education.

The 'Dominican Advance Avance Dominicano' is sponsored by a Christian community in Canada.
During the opening of the high school and awarding of the diplomas the proud parents and teachers present were treated with performances by folklore dance groups and carnival presentations.
The new school has the wonderful name 'Centro de Ciencias y Salud Comunitaria' Dr. Daniel Brunner.
