The road between the neighborhoods Charamicos and La Piedra has been in decline for a long time.
In times gone by, the street was covered with a nice layer of asphalt.
Ilana iniciates the work
But that layer has been eroded by the sun and the rain showers to a bumpy full of potholes alley.
Especially with heavy rainfall, the street is barely passable and for many it is difficult to leave the neighborhood.
But now Mayor Ilana Neumann announced that the connecting road will be paved and a drainage system and sidewalk will be constructed.
It is understandable that the people of La Piedra responded joyfully and gratefully.
When the mayor visited the neighborhood to initiate the work, she was received with loud cheers.
