The Oktoberfest, which was held in Parada Típica El Choco in the weekend of Friday 10 to Sunday, October 12th was even better attended than in previous years.
On Saturday there were more than 300 Oktoberfest enthusiasts present!
They came not only from Sosúa and Cabarete, but also from Santiago, Cofresi, Puerto Plata, and even from the capital.

Marco and Jacqueline did expect a large crowd this year and were prepared with extra benches and chairs to have a seat for everybody.
On Saturday night, the mood of the crowd was especially good.
There was eating, drinking and most sang along with the German Schlager songs.
Then followed the polonaises and polkas.
The dance floor was bit too small for the large crowd this time.
Maxlrainer
Beside the dance floor a beautiful bar was installed with genuine German beer on tap.
Of course, the beer (very good quality) 'Maxlrainer' was served in large beer mugs.
Marco appeared in original leather pants and Jacqueline also in an original costume to entertain the guests.
Once again several companies took part in the festival.

Productos Bavaria, Sol de Choco, Panaderia Dick, Calla Piza, Merlin Dive Center, Bar Tipa Cool, OJO Club, HVB Plaza and Pizzaria Restaurante Italiana.
They were represented with a stand at the Oktoberfest.
For the children, there were fun games where the trampoline was the favorite by far.
Sunday night the very successful three-day Oktoberfest ended when the last partygoers left for home.
