Due to the heavy rains last week the small zoo near Cabarete was flooded.
One of the crocodiles named Coco used the opportunity and managed to escape.
The more than 2 meters long animal was then observed around Cabarete in different places.
And Last Thursday some tourists saw the animal walking on the beach.
The staff of the Environmental Service finally succeeded in catching the animal.
The animal had the tourists and residents of Cabarete worried but fortunately no further injuries occured.
The animal could be caught without injury of the animal and was returned to the owner.
