Carlo Polanco has made a video clip with his smartphone and uploaded it to his Facebook page. It is very unique that dolphins have been seen so close to the coast of Sosúa. Now is the season however, that you can spot humpback whales along the coast of Puerto Plata, Sosúa and Cabarete. It is mating season for humpback whales. This time of the year the humpback whales come from the North Atlantic to the shores of the Dominican Republic to mate and give birth. They are seen in great numbers in the National park 'Los Haitises' near the peninsula of Samaná.
