The tourist route from Puerto Plata to Santiago, leads you through the most beautiful nature of the Dominican Republic.
You see there picturesque villages, beautiful views and the most beautiful vegetation.
Because of the many downpours until recently the road was almost impassable.
But the population of the villages have repaired the thoroughfare temporarily with clay and gravel.
The dry season has now arrived, so they don’t expect much heavy rain soon that makes the road impassable again.
So the tourist route is reasonably passable again.
