Recently, Mayor Ilana Neumann ordered her Public Works department to level the access road to the hamlet of Barrio Loma de Los Chivos.
The surface consisted of deep trenches and holes.

Particularly in heavy prolonged rainfall, the hamlet was almost inaccessible because then the road turned into a quagmire.
Some heavy machinery arrived to do the job, and they did.
About 6 miles of road has been made passable again.
Whether the road surface will also be provided with an asphalt layer, is not yet known.
That is, however, necessary because otherwise after the next heavy rainstorm the road will again get full of holes and potholes.
But the residents of Barrio Loma de Los Chivos are overjoyed at the moment with the improvement of the access road and very grateful for their mayor.
