Last Saturday evening, May 9, there was a mass evangelical meeting in the main street Pedro Clisante in Sosúa.
In front of the Rumba Bar a large stage had been set up where ministers held speeches and where music dance and singing groups performed (with edifying texts).
It was called an 'Evangelical Crusade' by the organizers, a crusade against all vile and immoral behavior in town.
The street was packed with believers loudly shouting hallelujah after every sentence of the preachers.

Among the visitors were mayor Ilana Neumann, the Ministry of Tourism Lorenzo Sancassani and Julio Almonte and commanders of police and air force present.
At the end of the meeting, Reverend Robert Peralta held discourse on Sosúa, remembering Sosúa founded in 1940 as a Jewish colony in the Caribbean.
