Friday May 15, at half past seven, Mayor Ilana Neumann and Alfonso Faringthon officially open the exhibition of paintings by the famous painter Juan Ventura in Casa de Arte in Sosúa.

Juan Ventura was born in Cabrera, but some years ago, he moved to Puerto Plata.
Juan, who is also a meritorious poet, moved to Puerto Plata because the cultural atmosphere in the port city is more vibrant and more inspiring for him.
Juan's work is strongly influenced by the themes in the Old Testament.
The works now on display in the exhibition have the theme 'Momentos Apocalípticos'.
They all express the final judgment.
Juan Ventura belongs to the forefront of innovative artists.
He has also exhibited his remarkable works in Puerto Plata, Santiago and Santo Domingo.
He could also be admired at Casa de Arte before, in a collective with other Puerto Plata artists.
Now it is a solo exhibition of the works of Juan.
