Saturday September 25th and Sunday, September 26th at 7 pm the Brugal Merengue Festival starts in Puerto Plata.
The festival takes place on the Malecon, the promenade of Puerto Plata.
The evening opens with a performance by a popular DJ.

Then the professional Folkloric Ballet of the Ministry of Tourism provides a performance.
Followed by performances by famous salsa, merengue and reggaeton artists.
On the first evening there are performances by Héctor Acosta (El Torito) and the Chiquito Team Band.
The second night is for the Merengue Big Band Dioni Fernández, with Aramis Camilo, Benny Sadel, Rasputin, Feny Ortiz, Diomedes Tito GAVY (Los Kenton).
Next there is a performance by the, especially among the youth, very popular reggaeton band Mozart La Para.
The two evenings end with splendid fireworks.
The entire festival is made possible and funded by the Brugal & Co. and the Ministry of Tourism.
