The chairman of the foundation ADSS (foundation to stimulate the development of Sosúa) Mr. Andrés Pastoriza, recently offered Adolfo Faringthon a book about art.
Adolfo Faringthon is director of the cultural center 'Casa de Arte' in Sosúa.
In fact it is a book about the history of crafts in the Dominican Republic.
Crafts that have been practiced for centuries by craftsmen and passed from father to son.
The book was compiled by the architects Manuel Antonio de la Cruz and Víctor Manuel Durán and they were able to publish it thanks to the support of Banco Popular.
In December last year the book has been awarded with the prestigious 'Premio Nacional Feria del Libro Eduardo León Jimenes'.
The director of Casa de Arte was visibly pleased with the beautifully illustrated book and will expose it in the cultural center for the public.
