Following the terrorist attack in Paris the controls at the different airports in the Dominican Republic are stricter.
Stricter controls at airports
Travelers with a destination in Europe or America, will be extra carefully checked.
Even before the check-in counter suitcases are opened and inspected and put through an x-ray machine.
The cabin luggage is also carefully examined for prohibited items like knives and liquids.
The management of the airport asks for patience and understanding for this inconvenience.
Passengers are advised to report well on time to the check in counter because it takes more time.
