The children of ‘Los Niños Feliz' in Puerto Chiquito (Sosúa) and the children of the choir 'Bella Vista' had an unforgettable Saturday afternoon.
They were invited for a visit to the horse ranch 'Hacienda Del Caballo' in El Choco (Sosúa).
It are children from poor families who rarely leave their own neighborhood.
The singing teacher Manuel Molina and Pastor Bernardo Vásquez arranged the transport for the children to the horse ranch.
The children received a tour on the ranch and then they could make a ride on a horse.

Brigitte Theurer and Angela Cruz made sure that everything happened safely and gradually.
The children were elated and thrilled.
It was striking to see the discipline of the children.
Every child waited to take a ride, but nobody tried to push in.
After the ride on the horses, the children were treated to a glass of lemonade and a lollipop.
The children's choir which, said Manuel, had only been rehearsing a month, then gave a very fine vocal performance.
Some songs were sung even polyphonic.

Finally, there was another horse trainer demonstration at which the children admiringly looked at and rewarded it with big applause.
Before the children went home again the children were again surprised with a gift in the form of a beautiful teddy bear and ballpoint.
Hacienda Del Caballo in El Choco is headed by Angela Cruz.
With the cooperation of Brigitte Theurer, they take care of neglected horses.
The horses were left sick and emaciated by their owner.

Angela and Brigitte took care of these poor animals and most of them are now (reasonably) healthy.
But Angela and Brigitte do not have sufficient resources hence they have created a foundation to raise funds.
The foundation is called 'Singing Horse Foundation'.
Angela is in fact also a gifted opera diva and uses her fees for her appearances for the care of the neglected animals.
