The board of the Central Election Commission (la Junta Central Electoral) has made campaign money available for the upcoming elections on May 15 for 26 political parties.
There will be elected a new president, 32 senators, 190 deputies, 158 mayors, 164 councilors and 20 deputies for the Central American Parliament.
It is a sum of more than 1610 million pesos (RD $ 1.610,086,923.00).
The coalition between the PLD and PRD receives most of the available funds, they receive over a billion pesos.
The PRSC along with the PRM receive more than 429 million pesos.
The other parties may divide the remainder.
