In early May, a student of the Colegio Luis Hess (Sosúa) won a prize at the 'National Olympics in Chemistry, Physics and Biology'.
The aptitude tests were held in the library Pedro Mir in Santo Domingo. The meeting was sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the 'Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo.
Pamela Gonzalez Cabrer, a final year student at the Colegio Luis Hess, won a prize in the category Biology.
Lic. Camelia Ferreras, teacher of biology and chemistry at the Colegio Luis Hess prepared the student for this contest.
In previous years the Colegio Luis Hess repeatedly came to win prices in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.
Luis Hess school is located in the main street Pedro Clisante, the entrance to the school is right next to the restaurant Schnitzel Paradise.

The Colegio Luis Hess was founded by the Jewish community in Sosúa in 1941 and has built over the years a great reputation as one of the best schools in the region.
