As we already know, the political alliance between the PRD and the PLD with Ilana Neumann as party leader, won the elections.
The alliance PRD / PLD won with 40.92% of the votes.

The Christian Democrats (PRSC) with Wilfredo Olívense received 39.23%.
The newly established party PRM with Melania Guzmán came at 19.34%.
The other four parties together received less than 1% of the votes.
So Ilana Neumann has been re-elected for the next four years as mayor of Sosúa.
But Ilana is currently negotiating with the opposition on a partnership.
Because only together with the PRM or possibly with the PRSC, her party has an absolute majority in the council.
These negotiations are difficult because it involves the assignment of the vice-mayor and aldermen.
But according to a reliable informer next week the new council will be announced.
