Two weeks ago, the historical monument restaurant 'La Roca' has been largely demolished for safety reasons.
A raging fire destroyed the restaurant La Roca at the beginning of the main street Pedro Clisante in November 2014.

Moreover, the restaurant had already been closed for over a year.
Because of the loose roof members the building began to pose a danger to passers-by.
It is sad.
The premises include a rich history because at the end of the 19th century the 'United Fruit Company' bought large areas of land for the cultivation of bananas and sugarcane.
The administration was located in 'La Casa Grande' in el Batey in Sosúa.
It is now known as bar / restaurant 'La Roca'.
Beginning 1900, the Company withdrew from Sosúa.
In 1940 the Jewish community were granted the use of the building and established a supermarket or Colmado.
We are curious whether the building will be re-build or what the plans are.
