Julio Almonte, the Deputy Minister of Tourism for the North Coast, announced that there are rumors about an exclusive hotel for gay men and lesbians in Cabarete.

According to the rumors, it is a somewhat remote hotel where the guests throughout the day lay by the pool with snacks and drinks.
The manager and the waiters seem to be gay too.
The Deputy Minister announced that he will send out a number of inspectors to Cabarete to investigate whether the rumors are true.
On a Facebook page there has apparently been advertising for this special hotel.
To what extent such a hotel is prohibited for the Dominican law is not entirely clear.
