On Friday, August 5, EDENORTE technicians replaced the 14 megawatts transformer in the Sosúa transformer house by a heavier one. The capacity of this new transformer is now 18.5 megawatt. Thereby Sosúa will suffer less from under-capacity resulting in less power outages. Due to this change of the transformer last Friday, Sosua was left without electricity all day long.
For this, EDENORTE sincerely apologies to the residents of Sosúa.
