Also a man of letters from Sosúa, Omar Messon, compiled a collection of poems titled 'Con Versa' for review.
And this time he was rewarded with Cesar Sanchez Beras from the diaspora in the United States, with a first place and prestigious poetry award.
Omar had already won prizes for his literary works and is also the animator of the Thursday Evening Writers Collective in Sosúa.
These writers gather every Thursday evening at the Waterfront restaurant where they recite prose and poetry, and criticize each other's work.
The Thursday Evening Writers Collective consists of Omar Messon, Ramón Gil, Moisés Muñiz and Óscar Zazo and they are all residents of Sosúa.
