Sosúa beach is renowned for its beautiful beach and clear blue waters. The beach is situated in a bay which shelters it from the weather such as high winds or dangerous currents. Furthermore, it is an ideal place for sports divers. There are still several beautiful fish-filled coral reefs for the divers. And the authentic beach bars and restaurants retain the typical Dominican atmosphere. That is evident because every weekend dozens of buses arrive from Santiago, Moca and Puerto Plata, full of Dominicans, to enjoy a day at the beautiful beach and water, and above all to have some fried fish.
