At half past eight, Monday evening September 26, was the opening of an exhibition on the Dominican Republic Jazz Festival at the 'Galeria Nacional de Bellas Artes' in Santo Domingo.
The Dominican Jazz Festival is now held for the 20th time.
On the occasion of this 20th anniversary a traveling art exhibition is planned along the different cities where the festival is held.
This year this is Santo Domingo, Santiago, Puerto Plata and last but no least in Sosúa.
In Sosúa the exhibition will be housed in the cultural center of Sosúa (Casa de Arte).
The exhibition, shown now in Galeria Nacional de Bellas Artes in Santo Domingo, includes the entire collection of t-shirts, iconic photos, the complete collection of all posters and a video documentary of the twentieth anniversary of the Jazz festival.
Artist Adolfo Faringthon (also director of Casa de Arte in Sosúa) was hired to supervise the project.
