The three-day Multicultural Festival ended grandly on Sunday (2 October) with the magnificent performance of the band Revolucion Salsera.
The interest in this final act was overwhelming, thousands of Dominicans and tourists attended the performance.
The ceremony master of the festival was Omar Messon (physician and writer) who enthusiastically talked between the various activities.
This year, the number of performances and special events was even more extensive than last year.
Visual artists had moved their studio to the festival.
They also exhibited their paintings, sculptures and photography.
Even children could have their faces painted by artist Carolina Ventura.
There were many performances by theater groups, dance groups, troubadours and Merengue Tipico music bands.

The choir and string orchestra of Sosúa, with first violinist Nicky Katz brought a musical show on stage.
During the festival, a festival princess was chosen by an expert jury and several prizes and certificates of merit awarded to participants.
The cook of Cafe Tropical was awarded a certificate for his special dishes.
Also, every restaurant with a stand at the festival, received a certificate.
The festival was attended by among others Eridania Llibre, (provincial council) César José de los Santos, (Deputy Minister of Tourism for the north coast), and many other dignitaries from the province of Puerto Plata.
The festival was made possible and organized by Jessica Martinez (UMPC), local government (Ilana Neumann) and the International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
