Government forbids bar's street terraces
From Monday, October 3rd, it has been forbidden for the bars to have tables and chairs on the sidewalk in front of their bars. Many tourists really enjoyed these terraces because it is much more pleasant to sit outside in the evening instead of sitting inside the bar. It is also amusing to sit on the terrace to watch the passers-by and greet them. Now Pedro Clisante is strangely silent and empty in the evening.

So no more terraces at Medium Bar (formerly El Flow), Bourbon Street Bar Central. No more happy tourists, having a drink enjoying themselves in the street. The commander of the police, who announced this new regulation to the various bar owners, gave as a reason that the pavement hindered the free flow. The many families with their children were not able to walk safely on the sidewalks.
