The Oktoberfest, last weekend from Friday 7 to Sunday, October 9th at Parada Típica El Choco, was very well attended and a big success.
Especially on Saturday there was an overwhelming crowd.
It weren't just people from Sosúa and Cabarete, but also many from Santiago, Cofresi, Puerto Plata and even from the capital.
Fortunately Marco and Jacqueline had expected a rush and were prepared with extra couches and chairs.
During the three days everybody was in a very good mood.
Three days to eat, drink and above all sang along lustily with the Oktoberfest Schlager songs.
Then followed the polonaises and polkas.
Besides the dance floor a lovely bar was set up with real German draft beer.
Of course, the beer (very high quality) 'Paulaner Fest' was served in large ‘stiefels’ (mugs).
Marco and Jacqueline, dressed in original Swiss costumes took care of the very good mood at the party.

The 13-man HGQ Brass Band from Switzerland, and DJ Marco himself, took care of the special Oktoberfest music.
And with so many people eager to dance, the dance floor was a bit too small.
This year again there was a police man who incarcerated men and women who 'misbehaved'.
They had to spend a few minutes in jail where they had to drink a large mug of beer as heavy punishment.
This under the eye of two (very beautiful) female guards.
The prison was housed in the Swiss Chalet.
Again several companies participated in the party.
Productos Bavaria, Panaderia Dick, Calla Piza, Bar Tipa Cool, OJO Club, HVB Plaza, Casa Valeria and Aly Tupac.
They had a stand at the Oktoberfest.
For the children there were fun games where the trampoline was by far a favorite.
