It is already for the 30th year, hundreds of volunteers organize on January 1 an Evangelical day in Sosúa.
The festival gets bigger every year.
On the helicopter field large tents and a huge covered stage had been set up, so even in case of rain and it rained frequently, the evangelization could continue.
On this first day of the new year 2017 according to the organizers there were more than 5,000 visitors at the festival.
The visitors came from near and far with buses, cars and motorcycles.
Also many dignitaries from Sosúa were present on stage at the festival.

As mayor Ilana Neumann is on holiday, an alderman did the opening speech this year in which he welcomed all attendees.
The priests and ministers then held sermons in which they called on the public to stop living their lives in sin.
The sermons were interchanged with performances by different artists and bands inspired by the Gospel.
There were also many stalls selling Bibles and CDs and DVDs featuring religious music.
The ambulant vendors used this unique opportunity to sell their ice cream, candy, popcorn, roasted sausages and clothes and caps.
