We recently reported that the mayor had given the order to repair the holes in the roads of Sosúa.
Unfortunately, it was only the part of the road in front of the Texaco gas station and the taxi stand.
Apparently, the mayor is on holiday and all the (municipal) work has been halted in Sosúa.
The sidewalk along the Rumba Bar is still a mess and now, it seems, work has completely stopped.
This part of the Pedro Clisante is an anti-advertisement now for tourism, and tourism still suffers a lot from the weeklong downpours.
Furthermore, the roads are full of holes.
Roads full of holes
Roads full of holes
Due to the heavy rains of the past few months, as we wrote earlier, pieces of pavement have been washed away.
Holes, 10 to 30 cm deep, are no exception.
Especially for motorbike or scooter riders it is very dangerous.
Bikers will often make sudden moves to avoid a hole and thereby placing other road users and them self at risk.
Especially the byways of the main Pedro Clisante are full of holes.
For example, at the Cuca Bar and also in front of Charly's Bar the road is completely ruined.
So hereby we call on the council to do something about it.
I love Sosúa

¿Qué pasa?
