Sunday 5 February (from 6:30 PM) many of the bars of Sosúa were packed with American football lovers to witness the final of the Super Bowl.
Behind the pool of Midtown restaurant a big screen was set up on which the game was projected with a beamer.
Around the pool and in the garden dozens of fans enjoyed a drink and a snack while watching the game live on the big screen.
With each successful action of one of their heroes sounded loud sheers.
Matthews, the owner of Midtown, had arranged a BBQ.
There you could buy a hot dog or hamburger.
At the end, the Patriots won the final of the American football season against the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in overtime.
After the game, the party around the pool continued for another hour or two.
But why do the Americans come to Sosúa in large numbers to enjoy the Super Bowl?
