The heavy rains of October and November, as we wrote earlier, did a lot of damage to the infrastructure of Sosúa.
Mayor has potholes filled
Parts of the roads in surrounding villages were washed away, but also large potholes arose in the roads in the tourist area of El Batey.
Also farmlands were submerged for weeks causing the plantain (platano) crop to be lost.
Within the last month workmen first repaired the roads of the surrounding villages.
This was very urgent because some villages were hardly accessible.
From Wednesday, February 15th the workmen fortunately started to fill the potholes in the streets of the tourist area of Sosúa (El Batey).
At this time, almost all the holes have been filled.
So that's good work of the town council.
