Previously Carnival in Puerto Plata was celebrated across from the fire station on the Malecón in Puerto Plata. But some local residents protested against it because they felt bothered about it. The judge agreed with the requirement that Carnival should be held elsewhere. Now the Carnival celebration this Sunday will take place right in front of the Tropical Bar on the Malecón. Everyone can enjoy Carnival on the terrace of the Tropical Bar with a Belgian beer. As with the Merengue Festival and the Verano Presidente Festival you can now also follow Carnival the next two Sundays from the terrace of Tropical Bar.
