Forty parents recently graduated on a special course.
The parents unfortunately didn't go to school as they should have in their youth and now felt it as a shortcoming.
They have been unable to help their children with their homework.
But the management team of public school Gregorio Luperón in Sosúa then decided to set up a training course for these parents.
Under the inspiring leadership of Paula Álvarez they received education for a year in math, reading, writing, geography and history of the country.
This first year recently ended and the parents graduated.
Parents graduate
Young students, most of them children of these parents themselves, thereby gave a dance performance and held lectures.
Everyone was proud of these brave parents.
