Wednesday June 7 representatives of the municipality of Sosúa and the Sosúa fire brigade received the keys of a another fire truck in Santiago.
Another fire truck for Sosúa
Mayor Ilana Neumann of Sosúa thanked President Danilo Medina for this gift.
From June 8 also the emergency number 911 became into service in Sosúa.
In case of an emergency residents can call the toll-free emergency number and depending the matter of emergency, a fire truck, ambulance or police car has to arrive within fifteen minutes at the emergency site to provide help and assistance.
Back to the new fire truck, this is equiped with the most modern equipment.
The fire brigade will also receive extra training to use to new fire truck.
