Sunday October 15, the foundation ADSS (Asociacion para el Desarrollo Sostenible Sosúa) organized, now for the 4th time, a 10-kilometer run through Sosúa.
But the little less athletes, youngsters or disabled runners could also participate at the 5 or 1 km run.
The night before volunteers of the firebrigade sprayed the streets of the route clean with their fire truck.
At the beginning of the main street Pedro Clisante a starting arch had been built.
And in the street there were stalls where you could get free water and other drinks and food were also offered, but you had to pay for it.
At nine o'clock hundreds of participants had registered in all age categories.
After playing the national anthem and some speeches, first started the youth.

This was followed by the elderly and last but not least some wheelchair users.
The first runners arrived within 50 minutes, under great applause at the finish.
But there were also some runners who stumbled in after two hours.
It was hot, very hot, and the runners had to drink a lot of water.
But most of the participants arrived at the finish.
Then it was time to award the prizes and medals.
The winners received 15,000, 10,000 and 5,0 pesos.
All others who made it to the finish were rewarded with a commemorative medal.
At the end there was a loud applause for the organizing committee and the board of ADSS to thank them for this perfectly organized 10 kilometer run through Sosúa.
