It is already for the fourth year the Casa de Arte string orchestra goes on tour during the Christmas holidays in the various neighborhoods of Sosúa.
The string orchestra consists of about 30 people, mostly girls, who were offered to borrow a violin, viola, cello and double bass three years ago.
It was in February 2014 when the foundation 'la Fundación Educativa de Jazz' (Fedujazz), had about thirty instruments available.
Under the leadership of music teacher Venus Guerrero they studied very hard in the following months and years.
The string orchestra did some musical performances in Puerto Plata and Santiago and the orchestra also performed at the Christmas concerts in Sosúa.
This Sunday, December 10 they will make a tour of Sosúa and play popular tunes to an enthusiastic audience in the neighborhoods of La Piedra, Charamicos, Villa Liberación, La Unión, Bellavista, La Grúa Loma Bajita and the children of the Mustard Seed Foundation.
