And again members the Samaritan Foundation (La Fundación Samaritano) handed over the keys of 61 houses in recent days to very poor families in and around Sosúa.
La Fundación Samaritano
The Samaritan Foundation in Sosúa, is led by Mr. Arismendy Medina (also councilor) and supported by churches in Canada and the USA.
The Samartian Foundation has been active in Sosúa since 1987 has so far constructed about 1,500 houses in 16 neighborhoods.
They also build medical clinics, dental offices, schools, club houses and churches.
Every year many volunteers from parishes in the USA and Canada come to the north coast (Montellano, Puerto Plata, Sosúa, Cabarete) to assist in the construction of these houses.
