The new commander of the traffic police (AMET) in Sosúa, Agramonte Freddy Martínez said that the traffic situation in Sosúa has improved in recent months. On his appointment as commander, he found a totally degraded traffic situation in Sosúa. Through consistent and thorough acting against traffic violations now road safety improved significantly. The police act fierce against the traffic offenders for not wearing a helmet on a motorcycle, ride through red lights and driving against traffic (one way streets). But also illegal parking, driving without a seat belt or without valid documents is now consistently punished. Enforcing the law, said the commander, is a matter of long-term acting.
