International Firefighters' Day (IFFD) is celebrated on May 4 to honor firefighters internationally for their service and to remember those firefighters who have died in the line of duty. The red-blue ribbon is a symbol used for International Firefighters Day.
Today, tribute is also paid to all the brave men and women who are part of the Sosúa firefighters team. Their dedication, courage and commitment to community safety are truly inspiring. Every day, the firefighters are ready to take on any challenge and risk their own lives to protect ours. Their work is not limited to extinguishing fires. They also attend rescues, medical emergencies and other circumstances where they are needed. They are very grateful for the community's support. It enables them to continue to carry out their mission and continually improve.
On this special day, everyone should recognize and celebrate the work of these unsung heroes.
