The Island Impact foundation has visited Maranatha, Sosúa.
Island Impact sent a team of missionaries, consisting of students and doctors, from different parts of the United States to the province of Puerto Plata.
Medical assistance
Dozens of people from Maranatha received free medical care and medicine and even gifts for the children.Pastor Juan de Dios Inoa (Jhonny) from Maranatha said:
'He is grateful to God and the foundation for helping the community with the medical evaluation and access to completely free medicines for all people.'
It should be noted that volunteers from the Island Impact foundation performed breast cancer operations in the province of Puerto Plata last March with specialists from the United States.
The foundation will continue to do these types of activities to help the people living in different parts of the tourist city of Puerto Plata and, above all, to highlight the message of the word of God.

President Abinader called an emergency meeting at the National Palace on Wednesday evening, immediately after returning from Washington.
He wants to find out more about the enormous amount of rain that has fallen in the country recently, resulting in the many floods.
An assessment of the overall situation had already been made together with Vice President Raquel Peña and all rescue organizations, assessing in detail the affected places and drawing up an action plan to respond to the rains.
The weather forecast for the month of May is that it will remain rainy, but after that it will improve again.
