Since a month Alex Leemans is back in Sosúa.
Alex worked until 2008 as a real estate consultant at the firm Century 21 and now he is back there working as a consultant.
In his spare time he coached some soccer youth teams in Sosúa and Montellano.
In the Netherlands he played in the highest amateur leagues.
After he had stopped playing soccer, he became a trainer.
He has recently passed his official soccer trainer exam in the Netherlands.
In the Netherlands he has trained several teams.
But his dream is to set up a professionally organized soccer team in Sosúa.

He wants to rent or buy a piece of land and then turn it into, at least, two soccer fields with lighting.
In addition, there should also be constructed a grandstand and changing rooms with showers.
Alex knows there is much potential soccer talent in Sosúa, they just need to have the chance to develop.
He thinks a Sosúa soccer team may soon play in one of the leagues.
Furthermore, he wants to organize soccer competitions for the various age groups in which teams from for example Montellano, Puerto Plata, Moca, Cabarete and Luperon can participate.
He even sees talents that are good enough to become professional soccer players abroad after a good training.
In fact, there is already a Dominican playing with FC Barcelona in Spain.
To achieve these great plans for Sosúa, Alex is looking for sponsors.
