Currently the sidewalk from restaurant Tipico Alberto until the closed Bermuda bar is still completely broken.
The pavement is completely broken but new concrete curbs have already been installed.
In the street there are large amounts of stones piled up and there are heaps of sand and gravel.
The view is not getting any prettier.
For weeks now, the restaurants have to improvise.
Every evening they have to set the tables on the sand and gravel.

The hurricanes Irma and Maria have caused a lot of delay on the renovation work.
This is justifiable.
But the bars and restaurants have lost a lot of revenue caused by this broken pavement and slow progressing work.
In late September the sidewalk renovation should have been completed as promised.
But now the businessmen hope that it will be completed by the end of October.
In October starts the high season and then, when the pavement is still broken, the bars and restaurants will lose a lot more revenue.
