The Sahara cloud of dust has been hovering over the Dominican Republic since last Saturday.
This makes the sky appear very hazy and grayish.
The dust cloud will make it even warmer and people with allergies will suffer more from the air.
The broad cloud from the African desert will float around for between 7 and 9 days and will have a lot of influence on the weather in Dominican territory.
According to meteorological analyst and television presenter Jean Suriel, the wind chill rises significantly these days due to the dust from the Sahara.
Little rain is expected these days, with the population being recommended to stay hydrated and not to expose themselves to radiation from the sun.
People who develop allergic processes from these particles floating in the air are also advised to drink plenty of water and fluids and have anti-allergy medication on hand.
