For almost a year now Gerald Nicolas has been the new owner of the Coco Hotel, located at 151 Alejo Martinez, in El Batey, Sosúa.

Since the 36-year-old Canadian took over the hotel a lot has changed - and for the good.
All rooms have been completely renovated and repainted.
The gardens now contain more greenery in the form of bushes and trees.
The wall at the front has been demolished, and now gives a direct view of the new large oval-shaped bar/reception.
The bar is open from early morning until late in the evening.
The restaurant has also undergone a total metamorphosis, and a new chef has revamped the menu.
The American breakfast, in particular, is very popular with the guests, but the Dominican menu, the so-called 'Bandera Dominicana' is also a favorite - even the neighbors come to the hotel restaurant to eat.
The hotel is located in the centre of Sosúa.
In 2 minutes you can be on the beach, enjoying the nightlife and discos, bars and restaurants or the casino.
All kinds of excursions can be booked via the receptionist: horse riding, swimming with the dolphins, buggy trips to the interior, a visit to a rum or cigar factory, and many more.
Diving, snorkeling and a trip on a jet ski are just some of the options available.
The hotel personnel have a motto: at the Coco Hotel the guest's wishes have the highest priority.
