Saturday 21 November saw the official launching of the new Sosúa Cycling Club, with a presentation and champagne reception at Hotel Don Andres.
Jean-Pierre hosted the TV presentation and interviews with the cyclists and main sponsors Don Andres (Henri van de Aa), Hispaniola Real Estate (Werner Rinck), and sub-sponsor Enrico de la Plancha.
The cyclists appeared in their new blue and white cycling gear, looking very professional, and explained their particular goals in joining the group.
Most of them just want to keep fit and get some exercise.

Sosúa Cycling Club
The Sosúa Cycling Club is an initiative by Jos van der Vleuten, who used to be a professional cyclist back in Holland.
The club's objectives are to improve the members' health, meet new friends of various nationalities, cycle together twice a week, in two groups (a and b).
Distances cycled vary from 25 to 75 km.
You don't have to live here permanently to join the club - those who are just here for the winter, for example, are also very welcome.
