In a press conference in the press room of Casa Brugal a spokesmen for the company announced the program for the merengue festival.
The festival, which is sponsored by Brugal Company, takes place at the La Puntilla on the Malecón opposite the historic fortress 'Fortelaza San Felipe'.

During the festival, nationally known and famous artists will perform, among them on Friday night Eddy Herrera, Juliana, La Banda Libre and La Merenguera Urbana Angie.
On Saturday Miriam Cruz, Rubby Pérez, La India Canela and the Orquesta Brugal perfrom.
For Sunday Johnny Ventura, Dioni Fernández and Nicol Peña have been contracted.
In addition, local dance groups, bands, theater groups and comedians will fill pauses between the performances of the nationally renowned bands.
The entire festival will be broadcasted on the TV channel 'Canal 33 Super' and 'Megavisión' both in the Dominican Republic and the United States.
