The writer and poet Minelys Sánchez presents on Thursday April 3 her new work 'Marilyn Murió en Berlin' in the cultural center of Sosúa (Casa de Arte).
Minelys Sánchez was born on November 20, 1967 in Jamao al Norte, Espaillat province in the Dominican Republic.
She studied tourism at the University of Puerto Plata and lived for several years in Germany where she took some writer courses.
She published several novels and some poem collections in German, French and Spanish.
Her most recent work is a collection of short stories entitled 'Marilyn Murió en Berlin'.
Her work is strongly marked by the emancipation of women.
She wrote about the plight of single women and machismo of especially the Caribbean and the Greek man.
This Thursday, April 3rd, visitors and residents of Sosúa can get acquainted with this talented woman and her latest production.
